Since 2019, Performers of the Mesilla Valley has been providing free folklórico dance classes, cultural workshops in schools, and community performances. More than 100 youth and adults from all backgrounds have found a place to belong, a space to dance, learn, and celebrate culture together.
But the need is urgent. We currently rehearse in borrowed spaces and public parks, where our children have been exposed to crime and even dangerous incidents. Every child deserves a safe, consistent place to grow through the arts.
Performers of the Mesilla Valley is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity (Federal EIN: 39-3163889). Our total annual need is $160,000, but today we are focused on raising $60,000 to cover the most urgent costs: securing a safe rehearsal space and paying teaching artists who keep our classes free for families. Your gift will also support costumes, community outreach, and the expansion of our programs to serve even more children and families in Las Cruces.
Together, we can Keep the Dance Alive, ensuring the arts remain free, accessible, and safe for every child.
